In 1906, University School is founded by three founders: Rev. W.W. Bolton, J.C. Barnacle and R.V. Harvey.
St. Michaels University School (SMUS) is an independent, not-for-profit, day (Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12) and boarding (Grades 8 to 12) school. The school rests in the heart of Straits Salish territory in Victoria, BC, Canada. It has a global reputation for university preparation and character education.
This is a history of three schools - University School, founded in 1906, St. Michael’s School, established in 1910, and St. Michaels University School, formed through the amalgamation of the two founding schools in 1971. The Alumni Association is the custodian of the school’s traditions, values, spirit and culture.
