Stephen Quinn Barncard (born January 24, 1947) is an American record producer and sound engineer. He is best known for his work producing rock albums of the 1970s, including the Grateful Dead 's American Beauty and David Crosby 's If I Could Only Remember My Name .
Dec 2, 2023 · It was an improvised flash of brilliance, featuring only an echo chamber and five passes of live vocals, inspired by Crosby’s sudden vision of Christine Hinton. Barncard has called the process “15 minutes of cosmic skydrop. I had never seen the Muse work so magically.” Crosby revealed that the song simply flowed through him.

Later two members of the band formed a spinoff electric band and recorded one album, Oasis, again produced by Barncard, released on the Cranbus label in 1973. Members. Sherry Fox was previously in Cookin Mama. Stephen Barncard worked with the Grateful Dead, Seals and Crofts, The Doobie Brothers, Crosby and Nash, Chet Nichols and David Crosby.
Mixed [2] Skeletons from the Closet: The Best of Grateful Dead is the first compilation album from rock band the Grateful Dead. It was originally released in February 1974. As with other such packages, the album was a way for Warner Bros. Records to capitalize on the Dead's back catalog, after the band had left the label.
