Each house has swipe card access, and locks on individual bedroom doors. Houses can accommodate 8 to 14 residents, in single sex houses. Themed Houses include Woodcock Hall, Knape Hall, Meijer Hall, and Sister Mildred Hawkins Hall.

Located on Ransom Ave. in downtown Grand Rapids, it becomes the first co-ed Catholic college in the United States to be administered by a congregation of religious women. In the late 1930's CJC adds a third year of courses and eventually makes plans to become a four-year college. 1940. CJC becomes the four-year college called Aquinas College. 1945.
Each LLC features its own programmatic theme that generally focuses on a Dominican Charism or academic area of study. Themes include the Diversity and Inclusion House, FAITH House, Nursing House, and Express Yourself Fine Arts House.
When the college was moved downtown in 1931, it became the coeducational Catholic Junior College. It began operating as a four-year college in 1940 and was named in honor of the great medieval theologian and philosopher, Saint Thomas Aquinas. Aquinas is primarily a liberal arts college.
