In fact, from 2003 to 2005, Jim was the only host on Folk Alley, until Elena See, Barb Heller, and Jeff St. Clair (also of WKSU) joined the team. Jim retired at the end of 2012, and while Folk Alley has continued to thrive, we’ve missed him!
Jim Blum has been hosting Folk music programs in Northeast Ohio on the NPR affiliate 89.7 FM, WKSU every weekend for 32 years. He is also heard around the world on FolkAlley.com, a 24/7 folk music stream with a companion website full on photos, videos, reviews, blogs, and pod-casts.

Jim Blum. Jim Blum is a folk music DJ on WKSU in Kent, Ohio, where he has produced shows for over 25 years in addition to producing shows for Internet radio Folk Alley since its inception in 2003. [1] Blum is also heavily involved with the Kent State Folk Festival. Blum got his start as the host of an hour-long bluegrass show on WKSU.
