    Zoe Ball. Zoe Louise Ball (born 23 November 1970) [1] is a British broadcaster and presenter. She was the first female host of the Radio 1 and Radio 2 breakfast shows for the BBC, and presented the 1990s children's show Live & Kicking, alongside Jamie Theakston from 1996–1999.

    • She made her TV debut in 1980. Zoe was just 10 when she appeared in the studio audience for the kids' TV show Saturday Superstore in 1980. The youngster was in the studio because her father, broadcaster and maths genius Johnny Ball, was a guest on the show.
