Jul 20, 2004 · This was the first fantasy film I saw after starting to play D&D in 1980. (It is the first fantasy film I have any memory of.) The movie was produced in 1980, and I only ever saw it on Showtime (or HBO) in that year. It has a terrible script, terrible acting, terrible effects, etc.

Jan 11, 2024 · It does, but so does Hawk the Slayer. And as much as I enjoy its cheese, neither is the best D&D movie anymore. D&D: Honor Among Thieves really does surpass both in general cinematic quality (and in D&Dness).
