Hans Irmisch (* 1526 in Stollberg; † 16. September 1597 auf Schloss Hoheneck in Stollberg) war ein kursächsischer Landbaumeister. Leben. Nach einer Maurerlehre ging Irmisch etwa 1550 in die Residenzstadt Dresden, wo er an den Stadtbefestigungsarbeiten des Kurfürsten Moritz mitwirkte. Im Jahr 1554 wurde ihm das Bürgerrecht Dresdens verliehen.

The construction of the new castle was begun in 1566 by master builder, Hans Irmisch, under the supervision of Rochus zu Lynar. Its completion in the Renaissance architectural style was finished in 1577. In Thirty Years' War, it formed part of the defensive system of the town of Freiberg, and was occasionally used as a military base.
