Sep 29, 2017 · Flatliners. Deep in the bowels of a university's medical school, a group of students intentionally kill themselves for minutes at a time to experience what lies beyond. This is a fabulous idea for a movie, but unfortunately "Flatliners" represents the second failed attempt to do it justice. It's not a terrible film, and neither was the original.
Parents need to know that Flatliners is a remake of a 1990 thriller about medical students who "flatline" (i.e., die) to try to find out what happens after death. The original movie was smart enough to know how ridiculous it was, but this remake lacks that self-awareness. At least it's a little less intense… Videos and Photos Flatliners
