Marsveld. De Campus Martius, in het Nederlands Marsveld, was oorspronkelijk een vlakte ten noorden van het oude Rome. Later werd het een belangrijke wijk (rione) en bouwden de Romeinen er vele tempels en openbare gebouwen. Na de Romeinse tijd werd het de drukst bevolkte wijk van de stad.
