Aug 20, 2006 · SIG SHORE - Sig Shore, an independent movie producer who lived in Stamford for more than 50 years, died Wednesday at Stamford Hospital after a long illness. He was 87 years old.
Producer Sig Shore directed a second sequel, The Return of Superfly, released in 1990, with Nathan Purdee as Priest. A remake was released in 2018. In 2022, the film was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".
