Before entering art school, Rick Kane sets out to surf the big wave season on the north shore of Oahu, Hawaii, after winning a surfing contest in an Arizona wave pool by his home.
A greenhorn surfer (Adler) from Arizona travels to the beaches of Hawaii, where he's taken under the wing of a friendly beach dude (Philbin), a philosophical beach dude (Harrison), and a bitchin' beach babe (Peeples).
