Encinitas ( Spanish for "Small Oaks") is a beach city in the North County area of San Diego County, California. Located within Southern California, it is approximately 25 miles (40 km) north of San Diego, [5] between Solana Beach and Carlsbad, and about 95 miles (153 km) south of Los Angeles.
Encinitas is a classic Southern California beach city with its dramatic beaches, palm trees, blue skies, surfers, taco shops, and stunning sunsets. It’s often overlooked by road trippers on their way from Los Angeles to San Diego, but it’s well worth stopping.
