A National Historic Site, downtown Eustis is bounded to the west by the lakefront, and beautiful Ferran Park. With an historic bandstand, this is a natural place for outdoor events, and there are a lot of them.
EUSTIS, FLORIDA. Eustis, Florida is a town of 20,700 people about 38 miles northwest of Orlando. Along with Tavares and Mount Dora, it is one apex of what is known as Florida's "Golden Triangle" . It is on Lake Eustis, one of largest of the Harris Chain of Lakes.
Eustis is one of several towns in Lake County dating to the 1870s, a post Civil War era when settlers moved southward from other states into the Florida frontier. Eustis is named after Colonel Abraham Eustis who served in the U.S. Army in Florida during the early nineteenth century.
