Jinju ( Korean pronunciation: [tɕin.dzu]) is a city in South Gyeongsang Province, South Korea. It was the location of the first (1592) and second (1593) Sieges of Jinju by Japanese forces during the Imjin War. The Republic of Korea Air Force Education and Training Command is located in the eastern part of the city.

May 8, 2021 · Most sights in Jinju are located on the grounds of the Jinju Fortress (진주성 Jinjuseong), at the west end of the north bank. Jinju's moment of glory came in 1592 during the Imjin War, when a force of just 3,800 Koreans held off an invading army of 20,000 Japanese.
