  3. Everybody Wants Some!! Beat me to it! Unchained, end scream preceding last chord. Pretty good one in Bottoms Up. WINNER!! The first record is my favorite and there are plenty of examples but the 4:04 mark on Hear About It Later is one of his best. “Everybody Wants Some” all throughout the song and at the end.

So y’all probably know what I’m talking about, and if you don’t it’s basically that DLR has these “pinch harmonic” type screams that he does in different Van Halen songs. What I’m wondering is how the hell he does it. I mean it has to be falsetto, but what does he do after that?

  6. So I've listened to tons of Van Halen in my days, and I can't for the life of me figure out how Dave Roth did his screams. It sounds like there's 2 people singing the scream, almost like a wheeze. Great example is the end of "Push Comes To Shove". Anyone who has advice or a different subreddit, please leave a comment!
