The College of the Canyons Registered Nurse Program is approved by the California State Board of Registered Nursing. Prerequisites English 101 (3 semester units or 5 quarter units)
Selection Criteria. INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: To be considered for entrance, all prerequisites and previous nursing courses must be completed with a 2.5 GPA or higher. Completing the prerequisites, however, does not assure admission into the program.
A. NURSING PROGRAM PREREQUISITE COURSES. Courses must be completed with a grade of C or better before applying to the Nursing Program. English Composition, Anatomy, Physiology, and Microbiology courses must meet the average minimum 2.5 GPA to be eligible to apply to the program.
