Hendricks Park is a Eugene gem, and a beautiful place to visit any time of the year. April and May are prime time to visit the gorgeous rhodedendron gardens. It is also a lovely place for a picnic, or a hike along the numerous forested trails. It is a peaceful place, with towering Douglas Fir Trees.

Originally constructed in 1938 in honor of Francis M. Wilkins, one of the founders of Hendricks Park, the historic shelter includes a large fireplace and the Moon Terrace deck, both constructed out of natural stone. It is available to rent year-round, excluding Mother's Day. Hours are 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., 60 person capacity. More rental information.
