Snowpiercer is an American post-apocalyptic dystopian thriller television series that premiered on May 17, 2020, on TNT. It is based on both the 2013 film of the same name, directed by Bong Joon-ho, and the 1982 French graphic novel Le Transperceneige by Jacques Lob, Benjamin Legrand and Jean-Marc Rochette, from which the film was adapted.
A grisly murder stokes the class division of Snowpiercer; Melanie deputizes a dangerous rebel to help solve the killing - Andre Layton, the world's only surviving homicide detective.
With Daveed Diggs, Mickey Sumner, Alison Wright, Iddo Goldberg. Seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland, the remnants of humanity inhabit a perpetually-moving train that circles the globe, where class warfare, social injustice and the politics of survival play out.
