From Highway 101- coming North or South- take the River Road exit (in Santa Rosa). Go west on River Road until you reach Guerneville. At the second stop light make a right hand turn onto Armstrong Woods Road. This road will end in the park.

Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve is a state park of California in the United States established to preserve 805 acres (326 ha) of coast redwoods (Sequoia sempervirens). The reserve is located in Sonoma County , just north of Guerneville .
The unburned flat contrasts strikingly with the bare ground, charred redwoods, and dead tanoaks on the hillsides and in the redwood-filled glens around the edges of the flat.
