- In the 1980s and ’90s, roughly 150 fish cribs were placed in Big Green Lake, designed to protect small fish from larger fish and preserve the lake as a habitat for aquatic life. Today, many of those cribs have deteriorated. The cribs’ interior of thick brush and tree branches has disintegrated over time, leaving the only exterior skeleton intact.

Sep 18, 2000 · Look for deep water drop offs such as Baptist bar of the shale bar. These are 2 good spots to try. Also if you have a good graph. You can locate the fish cribs in 18'-28' feet of water.Always mark fish with your graph 1st then fish them. Try lindy rigs with big red-tails or leeches.
