Veronica Allen (Jeri Ryan) is going on trial for the murder of Father Tabakian. Her attorney Honey Chandler (Mimi Rogers) is going with self-defense, and with attacking Harry's credibility. It works, as Veronica beats the rap when the trial ends in a hung jury.
- Everything wrapped up nicely. Except the things that weren’t supposed to. This season put a lot of story balls into the air, but the main ones involved Harry and Jerry’s investigation into the private military contractors, Harry and Anita prepping the case against the director (and navigating their complicated relationship), and Harry being framed for Gunn’s murder, and all three came to satisfying conclusions, with the latter two mainly concluding in the ninth episode, and Harry taking on Dobbs in a bit of improvised island warfare in the finale.
- I was wrong about Edgar (sort of). In last week’s review, I suggested that on another show, following Jerry home to meet his ex-wife and sons “might seem a warning sign that he’s about to get shot in the line of duty,” where here it was just a sign of his increased role on the series.
- I love how democratic the show has become with the other cops. This ties into what I said about Edgar, but one of the weakest aspects of the first few books is the way that virtually every cop Harry deals with is less competent, or at least less dedicated, than he is.
"The Four Last Things" is the second episode of the third season of Bosch. It turns out that Harry is dating Anita Benitez, the deputy district attorney handling Andrew Holland's prosecution. They part after a date and Harry goes to check on his camera surveillance of Edward Gunn.
Recap. "God Sees" is the third episode of the third season of Bosch. Harry goes to Gunn's place to retrieve the spy camera in the smoke detector, and is unpleasantly surprised to find it missing. That's because Edgar got there first. Edgar gives the spycam to a lab tech and asks him to check it for prints, "off the books".
