Circle in the Square Theatre School is a non-profit, tax exempt drama school associated with Circle in the Square Theatre; it is the only accredited conservatory attached to a Broadway theatre. The Circle in the Square Theatre is a Broadway theater at 235 West 50th Street, within the basement of Paramount Plaza, in the Midtown Manhattan neighborhood of New York City.
In 1972, Circle moved to its Broadway home on 50th Street – the first new Broadway theatre in fifty years. The complex includes a three- or four-sided main theatre auditorium with a maximum capacity of 680 seats, classrooms, rehearsal studios and administrative offices.
Founded in 1961, Circle in the Square Theatre School is the only accredited training conservatory associated with a Broadway theater. Committed to reaching a diverse body of students, the school is partnered with the Harlem School of the Arts and the Association of Hispanic Arts.
