The Volkswagen Corrado is a compact four passenger (2+2), three door, front-engine, front-wheel-drive liftback coupe marketed by Volkswagen from 1988 until 1995, and manufactured by Karmann in Osnabrück, Germany.
Introduced in 1992 replacing the Corrado G60 and after a cosmetic revision such as the seven slat grill being replaced by a four slat, front wings widened and the bonnet and bumper redesigned, the Corrado VR6 was marketed as the SLC in the United States, with SLC meaning Sport Luxury Coupe.

The short-throw gearshift is slick and precise, while the stubby gear-lever simply encourages you change down pre-corner, blipping the throttle for maximum theatre.
