Dec 31, 1971 · STONINGTON, Conn., Dec. 30 —Dorothy Comingore, who took the role of Susan Alexander, Orson Welles's leading lady, in the 1941 motion picture “Citi zen Kane,” died today after a long illness.
Not much is known of her final years, except, that she spent most of it in seclusion, married to a postman in Connecticut in a home with two dogs and ten cats.
