Ralph Douglas Vladimir Slocombe OBE, BSC, ASC, GBCT (10 February 1913 – 22 February 2016) was a British cinematographer, particularly known for his work at Ealing Studios in the 1940s and 1950s, as well as the first three Indiana Jones films.
Cinematographer: Rollerball. London-born Douglas Slocombe has long been regarded as one of the film industry's premiere cinematographers, but he began his career as a photojournalist for Life magazine and the Paris-Match newspaper before World War II.

Feb 23, 2016 · Douglas Slocombe, the chameleonic British cinematographer who filmed the Nazi invasion of Poland, the adventures of “Indiana Jones” and the madcap farce of Ealing comedies, has died. Slocombe was 103. His daughter, Georgina Slocombe, said Slocombe died early Monday in a London hospital.
