"Come and Get Your Love" is a 1974 song by the Native American rock band Redbone from their fifth studio album Wovoka. It is used as the main opening theme for F is for Family.
The opening animation begins with graduation caps flying in the air. Frank appears in his graduation robe, as he throws it in the air in excitement after graduating from high school and begins to fly to the sky, with his robe falling off to reveal his casual clothing.
While in the sky, Frank to soaring above the clouds, symbolizing how he is free to do whatever he wants after graduating. Suddenly, a paper flies into his face and he changes into his military uniform, showing a draft notice as he is being forced to participate in the military during the Korean War.
A baby bottle knocks at Frank's head out of nowhere, while changes into his usual attire of a white shirt and brown pants. This references how Frank and Sue got pregnant before they were married, since they would soon expect a child. Frank looks at the baby bottle, but in shock, he then sees a wedding cake next to him and avoids it, which shows how Frank suddenly married Sue after he made her pregnant. He is so focused on the cake, that he suddenly forgets the glasses that hit him and transpose perfectly on his face. Unexpectedly, Frank becomes fatter and has his hair grown longer, making his usual overall appearance in the show.
Frank is then more shocked than ever about seeing a large amount of objects that he has to pass through that strongly correlate to his life, though they change based on the season. Going through the hardships in his life, Frank manages to successfully avoid the monstrosity of things that he encounters, but abruptly bumps into the letter "F", which happens to make up part of the title of the show. Frank stops flying and falls down into his house, with the letter "F" falling behind him. An explosion occurs while he lands into his house, but then shows him in his thousand yard stare sitting on his chair with a beer in his right hand. Sue, Bill, Maureen, and their dog Major appear next to Frank, while Kevin is shown to be a couple feet away from the family, showing Kevin's dislike toward his father. the letter "F" who is falling crashes but bounces back up causing the screen to shake and the words appear as the "F" bounces into the words "F is for Family
