Dec 22, 2023 · Nick Clark's death in Fear the Walking Dead was not a creative decision, but rather a request made by actor Frank Dillane. Dillane asked to leave the show after being on it for three or four years and feeling that it was time to move on.
Nicholas Clark, better known as Nick, is the former deuteragonist (previously tritagonist) and a survivor of the outbreak in AMC's Fear the Walking Dead. He is the son of Madison and Steven Clark, and the brother of Alicia. Nick has had a troubled past and has always chosen the wrong road.

Frank Stephenson Dillane (born 21 April 1991) [1] is a British actor. He is known for his roles as Nick Clark on Fear the Walking Dead (2015–2018) and 16-year-old Tom Riddle in the film Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009).
Nicholas Clark was a major character in the first, second, third, and fourth seasons. He was portrayed by Frank Dillane . Nick was a 19-year old drug addict.
Frank then played series regular Shugs in Season One of 'Sense8' (Netflix) directed by Lana and Lilly Wachowski. He next filmed the pilot for A.M.C.'s 'Fear the Walking Dead', playing the lead role of Nick Clark. The show was a huge success and he has subsequently appeared in all three seasons.
