This tourist train runs between the communities of Georgetown and Silver Plume, a distance of 2 miles (3.2 km).

  3. The Georgetown Loop railroad is an out and back ride of about two miles on a narrow-gauge railroad. The cars are open, so dress for the weather. The ride takes about an hour, including a stop of 15 minutes at one end and another stop of about five minutes for those who get off for a mining tour.
