The Fairhair dynasty (Norwegian: Hårfagreætta) was a family of kings founded by Harald I of Norway (commonly known as "Harald Fairhair", Haraldr inn hárfagri) which united and ruled Norway with few interruptions from the latter half of the 9th century.
Harald Fairhair – a King of Western Norway. The chronicler Snorri Sturluson places Harald Fairhair among the Ynglinge bloodline. However, the lay Ynglingatal, which is Snorri’s “source” and the Ynglinge bloodline’s “family tree”, never mentions Harald Fairhair even once.
