The Utica campus, formerly Utica Junior College, was founded in 1903 as Utica Normal and Industrial Institute and is the oldest of Hinds CC’s six locations.

We offer six locations for you to choose from with campuses in Jackson, Pearl, Raymond, Utica, and Vicksburg. Choose to commute or live in our residence halls, which are located on our Raymond and Utica Campuses. Take classes during the day, night, or online.

Holtzclaw founded the Utica Normal and Industrial Institute for the Training of Colored Young Men and Women in 1903, which would later become Utica Junior College, and currently Hinds Community College Utica Campus.
