Jerome Ravn Juhl, known professionally as Jerry Juhl, (June 28, 1938 [1] — September 25, 2005 [2]) was the head writer for the Muppets for nearly four decades. He played a key role in developing the personalities of many of the best known Muppet characters, and scripted five Muppet movies.

Juhl was the head writer on The Muppet Show from seasons 2 to 5 (season 1 had Jack Burns as head writer). He also wrote for the television shows Fraggle Rock and The Jim Henson Hour. He was involved in some capacity with all of the Muppet films from The Muppet Movie in 1979 to Muppets from Space in 1999.

Juhl served as head writer for The Muppet Show (1976) from 1977-1981. He also was the writer and creative producer of Fraggle Rock (1983), which featured his wife as a writer and script editor.
