Viscount Mersey, of Toxteth in the County Palatine of Lancaster, is a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. It was created in 1916 for the lawyer and politician John Bigham, 1st Baron Mersey.

Bigham, John Charles, first Viscount Mersey (1840–1929), judge, was born on 3 August 1840, the second son of John Bigham, a Liverpool merchant, and his wife, Helen, daughter of John East, also of Liverpool.
As a peer he continued to hear appeals in the House of Lords and was a regular attendant at the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council. He was created a viscount in 1916.
