The new Lincoln Heights Health Center opened on June 28, 2004. A state-of-the-art facility, housing medical, dental, and support services. Partnered with three behavioral health agencies, leading to the opening of four co-located behavioral health sites.

At the time, Lincoln Heights, near Cincinnati, was the largest self-governed African American city in the nation — but no physicians or dentists practiced there. The Lincoln Heights Health Center opened in a four-room apartment on a shoestring budget, staffed by volunteer physicians, nurses and dentists.
Established in 1967, The HealthCare Connection (formerly the Lincoln Heights Health Center) was the very first community health center in the state of Ohio. Our staff provides medical, dental and behavioral health services to patients that may not otherwise be able to afford the health care services they need.
