Malaparte has a soothing, neighborhood gem kind of feel. Friendly staff, good vibes, feels like you made a good choice by just walking into the restaurant. The sides of the restaurant open up, so there's good air circulation even when you're sitting indoors - mimics that indoor/outdoor vibe.

Malaparte delivered good food in every course along the way. My seafood salad was tasty and extremely refreshing. The bf ordered the octopus salad which he thoroughly enjoyed.

During the summer 2018, the most humid summer of New York City on record, Malaparte kept their doors and windows open, making it a very uncomfortable place to dine in, unless you prefer to dine sweaty in a sauna on who-only-knows-how well-refrigerated-food. Now that summer 2018 is over, I was VERY ENTHUSIASTIC to return to Malaparte.

Aug 21, 2022 · Brick walls, wood floors, good pastas and salads, heavy pours of red wine, a generally pleasant crowd - they’re all there at Malaparte. The food isn’t revolutionary, but it doesn’t need to be, and that’s kind of the point. If you take a date here, they’ll be impressed, but not because the restaurant is fancy or “impressive.”.
