The dark-eyed, fair-haired infant was spotted in her baby carriage on the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer lot by the comic duo’s producer Hal Roach, whose own studio was next door.

I am very sad to report that my friend Marjorie Campbell (March 14, 1932-October 28, 2022) passed away this morning at the age of 90. Dear Margie appeared in Laurel and Hardy's "Their First Mistake" as the adopted baby.
