Maurice Braun (1877–1941) was an American artist who became known for his Impressionist landscapes of southern California. He was born in Hungary on October 1, 1877; however, by the age of four, young Maurice and the Braun family had migrated to United States, and settled in New York City.
Jul 1, 1977 · Back in the United States, Braun set out at once to practice as a serious painter. Earnest effort and sound training from an established source, which he had now mastered, were essential for a student pursuing a successful career in art. Success usually meant both financial and personal achievement.
