On this date in 1961: Mike Farah, 56, was practicing his golf swing outside his Warren, Ohio, home, when gunshots from a gray-green Chevrolet cut him down. Mike Farah. Two or three shotgun blasts were fired. Farah's hip was badly damaged and some of the fired shot penetrated the side of his abdomen.

Jun 10, 2002 · Farah was practicing golf shots on his lawn when a gunman in a speeding automobile fired a fatal shotgun blast into his abdomen. The 56 year-old Farah died in the emergency room two hours later.
The Jungle Inn was one of the Mafia’s most famous gambling dens which was operated by Mike and John Farah. It was located just outside Youngstown in Trumbull County. Taxis would take housewives to gamble during the day while their husbands were at work.
