That book also told the story of a man named Paul McAllister who had made millions in the business world but had failed at life and golf. The movie gets its name from the golf term that references a do-over after a bad stroke. Although mulligans are not allowe...
The film stars Pat Boone as "Old Pro" Will Dunn and Eric Close as Paul McAllister. Aug 16, 2022 · The Mulligan, playing in theaters as a Fathom Event April 18 and 19, reminds viewers how desperately we need God’s grace. Paul is a stereotypical—and egotistical—self-made man. He’s earned his success, and he has little patience for anyone who doesn’t play by the rules and work as hard as he does.

This is a preachy movie, a preachy movie that tries to use golf metaphors, jargon and situations to mask over its underlying religious connotations. Which as a movie goes, is an utter failure. The script is sanitized for your protection. The story line is nonsense and still completely predictable.
The Mulligan is a wonderful inspirational story, featuring Pat Boone as an elderly wise man, “Old Pro” Will Dunn, who imparts more than golf advice to Paul McAllister (Eric Close). Eric Close does a nice job in his role as McAllister-and he’s in the majority of the film’s scenes, so a lot of the movie works because of his acting skills.
