NRBQ is an American rock band founded by Terry Adams (piano), Steve Ferguson (guitar) and Joey Spampinato (bass). [1] [2] Originally the "New Rhythm and Blues Quintet", the group was formed circa 1965. [3] [4] [5] Adams disbanded it for a time, and the group re-formed in 1967.
The first new NRBQ studio album since 2014 is released by Omnivore Recordings on November 12, 2021. It includes ten originals, with contributions by every member of the band, and Terry’s rockin’ arrangement of the classic TV theme song. It’s available on CD, vinyl, and digitally.

Dec 28, 2012 · NRBQ never had a hit record and were never played much on the radio. But for more than 50 years, they built and preserved a niche market and fandom based on a blend of R&B, country, novelty, rockabilly and a tinge of jazz.
