This is an oil painting I did of an autumn scene of cottonwood trees in their autumn colors on Tomichi Creek. Tomichi Creek begins in the White Pine area of Gunnison County east of Gunnison and flows west where it meets the Gunnison River in the Dos Rios area just south of Gunnison.
The painting is a typical Von Hassler work — beautiful large cottonwood trees, purple mountain in the background and adobe houses and red roof — signature items seen in most of his art. The painting is signed in lower left.
