Mescal rose to fame with his role in the miniseries Normal People (2020), earning a BAFTA TV Award and a nomination for a Primetime Emmy Award. Mescal expanded to films with roles in the psychological dramas The Lost Daughter (2021) and God's Creatures (2022).
Normal People is a romantic psychological drama television miniseries produced by Element Pictures for BBC Three and Hulu in association with Screen Ireland. [1] [2] [3] It is based on the 2018 novel by Sally Rooney.
Normal People: With Paul Mescal, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Desmond Eastwood, Aislín McGuckin. Follows Marianne and Connell, from different backgrounds but the same small town in Ireland, as they weave in and out of each other's romantic lives.
Paul Mescal is an Irish actor. He is known for his leading role in the miniseries Normal People, for which he received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination. Before starting acting, he was an under-21 Gaelic footballer for County Kildare and a member of Maynooth Football Club.
