Ravenswood Winery is a Californian wine producer, located in Sonoma County in the foothills of the Mayacamas Mountains. It was founded by Joel Peterson in 1976, and is now known for its robust, full-bodied single-vineyard Zinfandel – in keeping with the company's motto of 'no wimpy wines'.
The winery produces more than 40 different wines including 15 Zinfandels, six Merlots, a Cabernet Sauvignon, a Petite Sirah, Bordeaux blends, Rhone-style blends, and a few whites. Ravenswood sources their grapes from many regions including Napa, Amador, Lodi, Mendocino, and Sonoma.
