April 10, 2021. Josh Arnold is in high school in Mobile, Alabama when WWII breaks. His father, a shipyard owner, joins the Navy, and moves Josh and his mother, a pampered belle, to their summer home in the desert mountains of New Mexico, to avoid bombing of coastal shipyards.
