Reginald Eugene Cathey (August 18, 1958 – February 9, 2018) was an American actor. He portrayed Freddy Hayes in Seasons 1 – 4 of House of Cards.
A prolific and acclaimed actor, he was also known for roles on The Wire, the 2015 reboot of Fantastic Four and the father of the titular character in the Netflix series Luke Cage. He also played Al, a homeless man killed by Patrick Bateman, in the film American Psycho.
