Nov 10, 2021 · This is an edit of RoboCop that attempts to recreate the heavily censored Network Television presentation in HD. The movie is cropped and pan-and-scanned to 4:3 like old TV broadcasts, and there are fade in and outs every 15ish minutes to emulate where commercial breaks would be.
Apr 22, 2018 · I have many versions of the edit to draw resources from. I originally started it in widescreen, but as the months went by and I continued editing, I moved it to 4:3 to fit more with the network TV style, it'll still be in HD though. Here's some snippets of what I've been working on:
Jan 15, 2018 · I've been interested in the infamously bad TV edit of Robocop for almost the past 10 years. Robocop is one of my favorite movies, I own many copies of it (theatrical VHS and DVD, Criterion DVD, Both Blu Rays) and have 5 different taped TV edits.

Aug 18, 2019 · RoboCop: TV Edit HD Restoration: For most kids growing up in the early 90s, this mad hatchet-job was their first introduction to Paul Verhoeven's violent masterpiece; and I'm very pleased to say that the editor has done a masterful job at recreating it in all its ridiculous glory.
The 2001 release of RoboCop (that most TV versions use now) had a blue/purplish tone throughout, so the alternate footage was (very poorly) color corrected to match. Some I could easily correct with a filter, others I had to go through frame by frame and re color the background and faces/clothes.
