Claudia Nicolo is the mother of Julia and the ex-girlfriend of Debbie Gallagher. She is a recurring character in Season 10 of Shameless.
Season 10
In Citizen Carl, she is drinking at the bar when Debbie Gallagher walks by and calls her Hannah. Then she mentions that she is a friend of her mom's and wanted to talk to her, but secretly asks her to save her from the old guy she was walking out with. Claudia goes with it and tells Debbie when the guy is gone. When Debbie thanks her and leaves, she offers to buy her a drink. While drinking, they both chat and flirt with each other. Claudia offers Debbie to go upstairs to her room, which she accepts. After sleeping together, she tells Debbie she left her something on the nightstand, which was a large amount of money. In Debbie Might Be a Prostitute, she is surprised to find Debbie at her hotel door wondering why she was given money after sleeping with her. She is confused and didn't know what her rate was. When Debbie tells her she's not a prostitute, they decide to have dinner again. Before she leaves for work, she offers Debbie to stay in her room. That night at dinner, she tells Debbie to pack her bags for a girls trip to Kennebunkport. When Debbie states all the free gifts make her feel like a prostitute, Claudia apologizes. She tells Debbie she really likes her and the two flirt again. In O Captain, My Captain, she is on the phone yelling at someone about work. She then asks Debbie if she could pick up her daughter, Julia, from school. When she calls her "girlfriend", Debbie likes the sound of it and the two decide to become a couple. In Now Leaving Illinois, Claudia is served breakfast by Debbie. She eats while Debbie secretly follows Julia upstairs. Before Debbie leaves, she asks if she would want a job as her personal assistant. Claudia mentions she would do anything to keep her in the house longer. When she asks Debbie about the offer again, she asks Julia if she would like Debbie around more often. She also asks if she was supposed to be watching her carbs. in Location, Location, Location, she is shopping for her own birthday gift from Julia with Debbie. She then mentions that they moved her birthday party for that night and asks Debbie to come. When Debbie states she can't, Claudia become passive aggressive and doesn't want to celebrate the next day with her, so Debbie agrees to come that night. Claudia agrees to her terms. At her birthday dinner, she shows off Debbie to her two friends. When Debbie comes back from the bathroom with the corsage she bought for Julia's date, she realizes the deception. When Debbie leaves again, Claudia meets her at Julia's prom and confronts her. She claims someone as beautiful and young as Debbie could ever love her. She is shocked when Julia tells her that she slept with Debbie just to get back at her for being an awful mother. She argues with her daughter and threatens to send her back to Montana. In "Gallavich!", Julia claims that Claudia kicked her out of the house so she comes to stay at the Gallagher’s. However this turns out to be a lie, as Claudia calls Julia to tell her to come back home revealing the latter ran away. Julia not only refuses but makes Claudia believe that she still continuing with her fling with Debbie, despite the latter protests. At the end of the episode, it is revealed Claudia has called the cops on Debbie for her affair with Julia. As a result, Debbie flees from the cops.
