2 days ago · Anglers can fish for perch, corbina, grunion and yellow-fin croaker. Park facilities include four large parking lots, which can accommodate up to 1,000 vehicles. Restroom and cold showers are available on each side of the park. Beach restrooms are for Day-Use visitors.
The park is located on the sand-spit that forms the outer edge of San Diego Bay between Coronado and Imperial Beach. The park has 2 ½ miles of ocean beach and ½ mile on the bay. The entrance to the park is from Highway 75, which serves as a divider between the ocean side of the park and the bay side.
You may park your vehicle outside the park on Coronado Cays Blvd. which is on the east side of Hwy 75 and either walk or bike in and out of the park. Gate is locked at 7, 8, or 9 depending on time of year.

Silver Strand State Beach features extensive beaches on both the Pacific Ocean and San Diego Bay with many accessible features. The front gate opens year-round at 8 a.m. Camping is available for self contained vehicles - motor-homes or trailers.
Access and Parking at Silver Strand State Beach. To reach Silver Strand State Beach exit Highway 75 (Silver Strand Boulevard) at Coronado Cays Boulevard heading west. Follow the road around to the right will lead you to the entrance station. The gates open at 8 AM every day.
Silver Strand Beach is also an excellent place to dig up Pismo Clams.
