This film is based on a book by American author Harlan Coben. We rent a lot of DVDs, and this is by far the most intelligent film I've seen in a very long time (both in the way it is crafted and in the way it presupposes intelligence on the part of the viewer).
Adapted from a Harlan Coben novel, it features the affable paediatrician Dr Alexandre Beck (François Cluzet), who is implicated in a seemingly random murder plot that eventually circles back to the disappearance of his wife, Margot (Marie-Josée Croze).
