Overview. Having been a spy for Quantrill's raiders during the Civil War, Jeff Travis thinking himself a wanted man, flees to Prescott Arizona where he runs into Jules Mourret who knows of his past. He takes a job on the stage line that Mourret is trying to steal gold from.
Western. Jeff Travis (Randolph Scott) had been a spy for the notorious Quantrill's Raiders who torched and looted mercilessly for the "Confederate cause" during the Civil War. With the Union victory, he fears he's a wanted man and heads out West, closely followed by his long-time flame Josie Sullivan (Claire Trevor).
