  4. Sep 16, 2023 · The movie is a little scattered and seems more like a large stage play with too much going on. At times, it’s a melodrama and a little cringy; then a song and dance break out and it’s a musical. Add the use of title cards and it’s part silent movie for a bit as well. I actually like the title cards.

  7. The Wild Party is a dreadful mess. Set at the end of the 20s, part of the film deals with the death of the silent film with a Fatty Arbuckle-like character that's trying to make another masterpiece to skyrocket him back to the top from his dwindling decline from fame.
